Clippers drop another game in New Orleans

Hey, Clippers, what were you up to Monday night?

The alarm never went off, though, and the Clippers – short-handed, as ever – never got up for the fight in New Orleans, losing their second consecutive game at the Smoothie King Center, but just their fifth in 23 games since their last setback in the bayou.

With the 120-103 loss, the Clippers let slip an opportunity to clinch their ninth playoff berth in 10 years. Next up: The still-second-seeded Suns in Phoenix on Wednesday.

Center DeMarcus Cousins was a positive presence in an otherwise relative dud of a game for the Clippers (43-20), further validating the rest-of-the-season deal he signed with the team Monday before the game.
