West Haven Primary Election: Races For Mayor, Council, BOE & More

WEST HAVEN, CT — Several candidates, including incumbent Mayor Nancy R. Rossi, are vying for a spot on the ballot in November in Tuesday’s primary election for both Democrats and Republicans in West Haven.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sept. 14. Rossi received the Democratic Town Committee’s endorsement in July and is being challenged by John Lewis, who was former Mayor Ed O’Brien’s executive assistant.

Democrats will also vote on candidates for Treasurer, Tax Collector, Board of Education, City Council – both At-Large and District races – and Board of Assessment Appeals. Republicans will vote for City Council At-Large candidates. Michael Last is the party’s endorsed candidate for Treasurer and is being challenged by Marlon Boyd, while Keith Lynn is challenging Dorothy Chambrelli for Tax Collector.
