Parts of Hancock, Hendricks, Marion, and Hamilton counties might be affected by a thunderstorm that’s moving across Indiana right now.
This storm was being tracked by Doppler radar over Plainfield, which is located about 11 miles southwest of Indianapolis, at the time the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning. At 40 mph, the storm is barreling toward the northeast.
Up to 50 mph winds and pea-sized hail have been forecast for this area. Wind gusts of 49mph were recorded at Indianapolis International Airport, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
