Tracee Ellis Ross brings back the 80s in extravagant dress at George and Amal Clooney’s Albie Awards

Tracee Ellis Ross made her presence felt at the inaugural Albie Awards when they were thrown in New York City on Thursday.

Co-hosted by human rights lawyer Amal Clooney and her movie star husband George Clooney, the event played host to a glittering star-studded guest list.

And the 49-year-old daughter of Diana Ross was among the cavalcade of celebrities who flooded into the New York Public library at the fete.

She brought back the 80s with her extravagant style, modeling a voluminous frou-frou black dress with highlighter yellow accents.

Her outfit slid beguilingly off the shoulder to betray a hint of cleavage as she flashed her megawatt smile for the shutterbugs.

Accentuating her screen siren features with makeup, she accessorized with a simple black clutch and rounded off the look with matching stilettos.

The Albie Awards are held by the Clooney Foundation For Justice, which bills them as being for ‘courageous defenders of justice who are at great risk for what they do.’

They were named for Justice Albie Sachs, the famous South African jurist subjected to jail and then exile for his activism against the apartheid regime.

Thursday’s guest list included Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber, who posed up a storm with George and Amal for the shutterbugs.

Rande, George and a businessman called Mike Meldman famously co-founded the tequila brand Casamigos, which they have since sold.
