Child abducted during supervised visitation in Peoria, police say

A young child was kidnapped by his noncustodial parent Friday morning in Peoria, police said. The Peoria Police Department is asking the public for help locating the child.

Zachary Kaman-Moose, who is a ward of the state of Arizona, was at a supervised visitation with his mother, 30-year-old Brittany Roberts, near the 8900 block of West Peoria Avenue on Friday morning. After the visitation concluded, Roberts reportedly fled the scene with 18-month-old Zachary Kaman-Moose and an unidentified woman in an unknown white truck, police said. Police said they are unsure where the white truck fled after it left the scene.

Zachary Kaman-Moose is white, approximately 26 inches tall and 25 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was reportedly wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt, dark-colored sweatpants, and blue shoes.

Roberts is a white woman who is approximately 5 feet 6 inches and 145 pounds, with short brown hair and hazel eyes. Police say she was last observed wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt and dark-colored pants.

The Peoria Police Department asks the public for assistance in finding Zachary Kaman-Moose and encourages anyone with information to call the department at its nonemergency number at 623-773-8311 or 911 if it is an emergency.
