Four Blue Devils in double figures as Dolgeville beats Oriskany for second time

ORISKANY, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – The Dolgeville and Oriskany boys’ basketball teams both saw their names appear in the most recent edition of the New York State Sportswriters Association state rankings this week, and both entered Wednesday’s contest looking for a statement win and chance at moving up the poll.

For the second time this season it was the Blue Devils who earned that win, defeating Oriskany by a final score of 66-45. A high scoring affair in the first quarter, Dolgeville led by just one point 22-21, before its defense locked down the efforts of Oriskany, allowing no more than 10 points in any of the remaining quarters.

Four separate Dolgeville players scored in the double figures, going a combined 17 for 29 from the field and 10-24 from three. Kamryn Comstock had the best day all-around for the Blue Devils, posting a 15 point, 14 rebound, 11 assists triple-double, while Brett Mosher had a double-double to back him up, 15 points and 12 rebounds for the junior.
