Sue Ann Allen died peacefully on the morning of Thursday February 9 at The Auberge assisted living facility in Missoula, Montana. She was 75 years old and surrounded by family when she passed.
Sue was the daughter of Roscoe and Dorothy (Flesch) Mitchell. She was born on March 3 in the farming and ranching community of Shelby, Montana. Sue spent her childhood in a loving home with her parents and her older sister Roxie (Mitchell) Allred and younger brother Ray Mitchell.
Their modest home was located next door to her grandparents just west of St. Williams parish and school, which her grandfather John Flesch helped build.
As a child, Sue loved to spend time at the family’s roller skating rink where there were plenty of ways to have fun. She attended St. Williams School which began a long and enduring faith relationship with God.
She graduated Shelby High School in 1965 and was a lifelong Montanan. She resided in Missoula most of her adult life.
After graduating beauty college, she worked in childcare, the service industry and the elementary school system. She made many friends through her love and kindness. Everyone who knew Sue saw a beautiful person inside and out.
Sue started a family in 1982 with the birth of her beloved son, Mitchell Allen. They made a home in Missoula near Roscoe and Dorthy and spent countless hours together as an extended and loving family.
