Revelers in New South Wales can take to dance floors across the state from Friday after Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced a widespread easing of coronavirus restrictions.
Ms Berejiklian on Wednesday said singing, dancing and chanting at indoor venues would be allowed again as the state went 38 days without a single local case of Covid-19.
Households will be allowed to welcome 50 visitors in the home but stand-up drinking will remain banned in indoor venues.
Singing and dancing were banned on December 20 as NSW battled against an outbreak of Covid-19 infections on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
